Goodbye Childhood...

Looking towards the sunset, I wish to be a child again;
I want that time back, when there were no barriers.

No barriers to my dreams, no barriers to joy;
No responsibilities to restrict my forwarded steps.

I miss those crayons,
with which I used to paint the rainbow;
I miss those sleepers,
wearing which I danced in the rain.

I miss that bicycle,
whose bell I used to ring throughout the way;
I miss that guava tree,
which never let me feel the sun in summer.

I miss that colorful kite,
for which I ran on the roads recklessly;
I miss that school dress,
which witnessed many oil and ink stains.

I miss that excitement of getting small things;
when losing big things even didn't bother me.

I miss that innocent heart,
which allowed me to make friends;
non diplomatic attitude,
when castes and cream didn't matter.

I miss those child like excuses,
which made others giggle on my childish deeds;
I miss those scoldings from elders,
which always made me feel,'let me grow up n I'll show you'.

I miss those moments,
but I know they'll never come again;
I can just cherish those memories,
which bring some crying smiles n laughing tears.

What I can do is only,
learn from the mistakes of childhood;
I say goodbye to the setting sun,
and hope to see a brighter sunrise of life...

HOPE...

1200 hrs... and the train started crawling. Slowly it started moving and I was just waving my hand, looking towards my dearest friend from college whom I've came to say goodbye... He was standing on the door holding the support rod with one hand and other still in air... with moist eyes I couldn't even manage to say "Bye..."

Slowly the train was disappearing and so was he... My mind stopped working with an only thought that " Would we be able to meet again ??" and in reply there was only silence.
I just wiped off my eyes and wandered here and there just to find myself being left alone on the platform.

I started walking towards the exit and gradually all the moments which we spent together began to appear in front of my eyes...it was all seeming like a movie.
The day when we met, our sharing lunch box, just spending time with each other, talking non stop on any issue, Partying for anything sometimes for nothing as well, Being there in tough times, encouraging each other (Koi ni yaar, abe Paa..gal hai kyaa), our time kill sessions(Farzana, Foktai) in canteen, those lovely quarrels and contradicting thoughts for a single beautiful girl in the view (Wow.... Abe tu mat dekh, Bhabhi hai teri), attending the coaching class together, bunking the lectures(Na..layak)... Maybe the attendants at ice-cream parlor, juice center and Chaywala Chhotu knew us more than our lecturers and lab attendants...All the scenes...they were just so sequential, can't describe them in words.

Seriously, I'm gonna miss all those moments, will they happen again ?? But more than those moments, I'll miss the causing factor of those moments...You!!

While riding the bike back to home I was thinking about the moment when I left home for coming to Railway station... I called him to confirm the timing of his train and he just said one thing, "You won't cry, Promise me." He said,"When someone leaves you, you cry and the tears which come outta your eyes create a void inside your heart, and nothing but a feeling of emptiness fills that void space which makes you brittle, weakens you. On the other hand , if you don't blow tears, they take form of memories... mostly the sweet ones and they strengthen you from within... motivate you in hard times, inspire you and sometimes just bring a smile on your face while you are sad."

I'm breaking your promise, I whispered to myself...The question was still there, "Would we be able to meet again, ever??". But this time a voice from my inner self just made me feel a bit better. It said," The life is too long and the world is too small, just HOPE..."

We'll miss you....Volley!!!

It was the day of jun 26, 2005 when I came to attend my very first lecture of second year. Two of very pathetic classrooms of the insti. building were alloted to our dept.(condition is still the same, but now many feelings are attached to them). After having a brief sight at my fellow creatures' faces, the first thought which came to my mind was-"All the most screwed up people of this planet have gathered here, what am I gonna do now??" and similar were the thoughts of many others.

Time passed by and we people got to know each other, some groups were already there but now the interaction started between them by the mid of 4th sem. Still many people were aliens to many others, while some were just celebs (ahem, ahem).

Then one day, we didn't have any lectures(not surprisingly) and a sudden arrangement of volley ball happened(courtsey- Raghu).....and then, Life was never the same again.

From lecture bunking- Home runners, we just got transformed into volley freaks.

1. Lectures after lunch........??? I just can't remember, when we exactly attended the last one.

2. Labs....They are not meant to enter on time, are they??

3. Mid Sems......Why to waste time over a bunch of stupid questions(having same misprints as those occuring in the book) which we have nver seen(sapne me bhi nahi).

Brief Introduction.......

Raghu (Senapati, Galti hamesha is hi ki hoti hai.)

Mark (Star khiladi....He always shows Kaptani Pradarshan)

Kd (Chhote Thakur- Inspired from Sholay's Thakur)

Maggy (He serves and then rushes very quickly to his Net position just to hear- "Tu aa nahi pata hai yaar.")

Harish (Known for his GHATAK prahaar)

Sharmaji (Upper arm aur Net me, sometimes serves like a bullet)

Pushpesh (Slaps the ball, Dasta hai ball ko)

Nitesh (Mote Thakur, Raghu ki galtiya nikaalne ko bolo inko)

Parag, Milind ( Khatarnaak Serve, whenever crosses the net)

Sheetal, Bhushan (Udi me raho aur Dusro ki udaao)

and the one n only..........

Sriya Sir (Coach- Kabir Khan)

Some extremely talented players also obelige us by their graceful presence....

Anshuman(10 me se 1), Subrat, Babboo, Nagar Sir( Swinger), Chetan( Smashes very hard n accurate), etc...

After having a bunch of such great enthusiatic persons which are completey determined to play volleyball in any condition......who the hell cares about rest of the world which only knows one dialogue n that is- "ae Biomedical Farzi".

It's just a matter of few days, and after that who knows whether we all will ever be together again or not, so just cherish these lovely moments and never let these memories perish.

Be High on spirit and maintain what we have learnt from this game-

" Never let your ball of hopes fall down."

" You don't get Three chances EveryWhere."

" 9-11 to hota hi hai, doesn't matter; always remember har bure set ke baad LOVE-ALL(0-0) se shuruaat hoti hai."

We'll all miss you....volley!!! coz we love you.

Cheers!! Volley Squad...HIP HIP HURRAY.
